Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — New Playa del Carmen mayor, Lilí Campos Miranda toured areas of the city with Governor Carlos Joaquín over the weekend. The pair, along with other city officials, visited areas that are in need of infrastructure improvements.
The group took note of streets and avenues, storm drains, roads, mobility issues and basic services such as drinking water and absorption wells that are in need of repair. Joaquin stressed the importance of developing a work program for the reconstruction of damaged streets and the construction of new streets. He said through a mixture of resources, it will be possible to carry out projects needed for the city.
“We are going to work for the families of Solidaridad. We understand that the rapid growth of the city has caused the lack of planning and infrastructure to be able to connect the roads to the main avenues, therefore, coordination with the municipality to achieve this will be decisive,” he said.
