Cancun, Q.R. — Airline Gol Linhas Aéreas will resume its direct flights between Brazil and Cancun starting December 10. The airline will offer two weekly flights which will attract a greater number of visitors, said Governor Mara Lezama.
“Direct flights between Brazil and Cancun were suspended in February 2023 and now, with a recovery in demand and a renewed vision in the New Era of Tourism in Quintana Roo, Gol will be the only airline to offer this direct route with two weekly frequencies,” Lezama said in a statement.
“The viability of operations to Cancun, one of the largest tourist destinations in the world and which currently does not have direct flights from Brazil, represents an immense gain for Brazilians, Mexicans and other leisure travelers from all over South America.
“Gol’s objective is to bring our people closer and contribute to the development of tourism throughout the region,” said Rafael Araújo, the Director of Gol Air Planning.
The resumption of flights to Cancun is part of Gol’s international expansion, so now Quintana Roo is increasingly connected to the world, bringing more tourists and new alternatives so that the natural wonders of all the destinations in the world can be known. north, center and south.
