Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The driver of a gas truck transporting cylinders was arrested after causing an accident where several parked cars were involved. The SoniGas driver is said to have lost control of his truck, which resulted in him hitting three parked cars before leaving the street and coming to a stop in the terrace of a home.
The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon on 7 South Street off 115 Avenue. Police and firemen were called to the site to deal with the unusual mishap. Reports say the bed of the gas truck was loaded with cylinders. Firemen were given the responsibility of removing them to avoid any additional mishaps.
Police arrested the driver. His female passenger is alleged to have fled the scene.
