Frontier offering new direct U.S. to Cancun flights for $99 starting early 2026

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Frontier Airlines has announced new routes into Cancun International for early 2026. Some of those routes are being offered for $99 USD as a way to celebrate the company’s growth.

Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: ULCC) announced new routes that will be launched in 2026. The airlines says the new routes will increase the affordable flight options available to consumers traveling across the United States and to Mexico just in time for spring break.

The routes, spread across different airports, are just the latest growth for Frontier and underscore its commitment to offering affordable travel options to more consumers in more places. Three new routes have been added direct to Cancun.

“As we look ahead to 2026, there’s a lot to be excited about, from our expanding network to the introduction of our new First Class seats and more,” said Josh Flyr, Vice President of Network and Operations Design at Frontier Airlines.

Some of those newly added routes include new service from Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) on March 6, 2026 to Cancun International for $99 USD three times a week and Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) to Cancun International one time per week starting March 7, 2026.

Frontier is offering an intro flight price of $99 USD from both airports.

“We’re thrilled to kick things off with the announcement of these new routes, giving travelers even more affordable options as they plan their spring breaks next year,”

The new routes also include new service from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) to Cancun International for the same intro price of $99 USD starting March 7, 2026. That flight will be offered once a week.

Frontier Airlines intro prices of $99 USD are offered for direct flights into Cancun in March 2026.

Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama posted “Great news for the Mexican Caribbean! Frontier Airlines announced three new direct flights to Cancun, connecting from Charlotte, Chicago Midway, and Raleigh-Durham starting in March 2026.

“More routes mean more visitors and greater economic benefits, which translate into greater shared prosperity for service providers, who make the tourism industry in Quintana Roo so great.”
