Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Four bars in Playa del Carmen were shut over the weekend due to administration offenses. Raúl Tassinari González, the Secretary of Public Security of Solidaridad, said all four remain closed with official seals.
Two of the bars were closed after they were found operating outside legal hours. The other two were closed for administrative inconsistencies, which they were unable to correct during the review operation carried out city inspection agents.
Tassinari González clarified that none of the four bars were closed for drug or weapons offenses, as reported on some social media. He did say that during the inspection operations, there were some arrests but they were mostly behavior-related directed toward police.
