Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Four men in possession of two guns and a handful of narcotics were jailed by Playa del Carmen police over the weekend. The four males were jailed Saturday from the Ejidal area of the city after a police inspection revealed their illegal possessions.
The four were initially marked positive by a narcotics dog who sniffed them out while in their vehicle. The dog made the discovery while the car was sitting next to the patrol unit at a red light on 60 Avenue.
A review of their Lázaro Cárdenas del Río Union taxi lead police to the finding of nearly 50 bags of narcotics and two loaded handguns. Jailed on drug charges was 28-year-old Gabriel N from Veracruz and 29-year-old José N from Tabasco. Jailed on illegal possession of firearms was 42-year-old Arturo N from Tabasco and 37-year-old Edilberto N from Oaxaca.
