Four killed when driver of double long semi crushes SUV

Ocoyoacac, State of Mexico — A tragic start to the long weekend with the report of a roadway accident that left an SUV crushed. Four people were killed Thursday in a two vehicle accident in the State of Mexico. The long weekend accident happened between a private SUV and a double long semi unit.

Reports say the SUV was crushed after the semi driver lost control of his unit and slammed into the back of it, pushing it under an overpass. The double long company semi, which was traveling at highway speed, pushed the SUV forward and into the concrete base of the bridge.

The accident happened near La Marquesa ecotourism park at the start of the long weekend. The two men and two women inside were killed with the driver being projected from the vehicle upon impact.

Authorities from the State of Mexico did not release the names of the victims, nor did they provide information on charges.
