Morelia, Michoacán — Four people were killed in a car accident in the state of Michoacán after thier vehicle slammed into a tree.
According to Policía Estatal de Michoacán, the accident occurred along the Pátzcuaro-Morelia highway. Reports say the driver lost control of the Jetta and slammed into a tree, killing all four occupants.
Police say heavy fog was recorded in the area at the time of the accident.
Elements of the State Police of Michoacán, along with emergency services, arrived at the scene to tend to the crash and removal of bodies. The accident happened during the early morning hours of Mexico’s Dia de Muertos.
