Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A police beach operation north of Playa del Carmen resulted in four being sent to jail. The four men were jailed after being arrested off a beach area at Playa Paraiso.
Police transferred the four from Playa Paraiso into Playa del Carmen after counting 153 bags of various narcotics between them. The men were detained during an operation by the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security in Quintana Roo.
Police have listed the detainees as 37-year-old Mario N from Cancun and 15-year-old Jesus N along with 37-year-old Julián N, and 20-year-old Antonio N, all from Tabasco.
The beach operation was extended to Playa Paraiso after the report of drug sales. After the four men were secured in the police truck, authorities proceeded to seize their two vehicles.
