Bacalar, Q.R. — One person was killed and four others injured in a weekend highway crash outside the town of Bacalar. The accident was reported Saturday morning along the Felipe Carrillo Puerto highway when a car attempted to pass another.
In doing so, the passing vehicle collided head on with a five ton company truck. Ambulances arrived to transfer the injured to the Bacalar Hospital where they were reported in serious condition.
Responding paramedics located one dead person at the scene.
