Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three men and one woman who were arrested October 2 in Playa del Carmen, have been found related to at least eight murders, three attempted murders and one kidnapping.
According to the advancement of investigations of the State Attorney General’s Office, the group of four are alleged members of a criminal group. The were arrested on October 2 after police stormed a home where they found a kidnapped male.
Oscar Montes de Oca reported that the operation carried out on October 2, by elements of the Municipal Police of Solidaridad in the Palmas I subdivision, which resulted in the arrest of a woman and three men identified as Yuly D, Aarón O, Iván R and Job H.
“So far these people have been linked to at least eight homicides, three attempted homicides and one kidnapping. Thus, it was also possible to establish that Yuly D and Aarón O could be related to the commission of the crime of kidnapping related to the disappearance of a 37-year-old woman who has been missing since July 1, 2020.”
In a virtual press conference, the director of Public Security of Solidaridad, Raúl Tassinari and the State Attorney General, Óscar Montes de Oca Rosales highlighted the recent change in municipal administration has helped them to better coordinate and collaborate with the police of Playa del Carmen.
