Costa Maya, Q.R. — National Guard highway patrol were left with the grim task of dealing with the body of a man who had been run over several times. The National Guard were sent to a section of Costa Maya highway between Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Tulum Monday morning.
Passing motorists reported seeing the dead body of an adult male on the highway near the community of Muyil. The reports were made to 911 Monday morning, however, it is believed the man had been hit sometime during the night.
Members of the National Guard were tasked with coordinating off an areas of approximately 200 meters while they waited for forensic personnel to arrive and collect the remains.
