Holbox, Q.R. — An American vessel from Florida that was reported missing earlier this week has been located. Vessel One Love was last heard from July 20 when it sent a distress call after leaving Cuba.
It’s last known coordinates were approximately 43 nautical miles northeast of the island of Isla Mujeres. Isla Mujeres Port Authority Irving Perez Perez issued a notice after their distress call, alerting local boaters to be on the lookout for One Love.
However, on July 22, the boat and its three crew, two men and a dog, were located safe and sound on the island of Holbox.
The two men aboard 35-foot One Love encountered numerous problems with the boat, health and currents after setting sail from Cuba. They were headed for Cancun when problems began.
