Five new U.S. to Cancun flights announced

Cancun, Q.R. — Spirit airlines has announced new Cancun flights from five cities in the United States, which will be operational between February and March of 2020.

In a statement, the company announced that these new services will be available for the spring, bringing more flight options to the Mexican Caribbean.

“Today we are very excited to announce our new direct service to Cancun from five new cities in the United States, Austin, Cleveland, Nashville, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh,” said Camilo Martelo, Director of International Airports at Spirit Airlines.

The airline says the new flights will position it as the largest in the ultra low cost category at the Cancun International Airport with eight daily flights.

“Cancun was our first international station in 2003 and we are very pleased with the growth we have had over the years in this city that has so much to offer its visitors,” he added.

Carlos Trueba Coll, Director of the Cancun International Airport, said that for ASUR the terminal’s concessionaire, it is always an honor to have allies that allow us to continue positioning ourselves as the favorite destination in North America.

He stressed that 16 years of joint collaboration in favor of passengers and visitors, it is pleasant to see Spirit grow and position himself with new destinations.
