Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Five people were left injured after a private car and taxi collided south of Playa del Carmen. The accident happened Saturday afternoon outside Paamul when, according to reports, the Felipe Carrillo Puerto taxi driver collided with a private car.
Four adults and one child, a little girl, were left with injuries in the 3:00 p.m. accident. Both vehicles suffered extensive damage.
Elements of the National Guard were in charge of the scene of the crash. Traffic was backed up for kilometers until the area was cleared several hours later.
