Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A group of five remain in custody on weapons and drug dealing charges in Playa del Carmen. On Tuesday, the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) arrested five people, three men and two women, on narcotic and weapon charges.
The five adults were arrested during a search operation in a home in Villas del Sol after they were seen dealing drugs next to a car. There, Alfonso “N”, Lizbeth del Carmen “N”, Carlos Mario “N”, Everardo “N” and Cecilia “N” were taken into police custody after being captured during a failed attempt to flee police.
During the Gavilán Pescador Street operation, authorities located 76 bags of marijuana, 37 of crystal meth and 22 of powered cocaine as well as a loaded weapon. Three cell phones, ammo and one compact car were also seized from the home.
