Fire eats through Playa del Carmen kitchen in LP gas valve leak

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Playa del Carmen firemen were at the late night scene of a house fire. The fire, which was caused by an LP gas tank valve leak, burned out the kitchen of a home early Thursday morning.

Police, Civil Protection and firemen were on the scene in the middle of the night attending to the blaze. Solidaridad Civil Protection and Firefighters reported on the kitchen fire, which they say, caught at the valve and spread to the kitchen.

“Firemen put out a house fire caused by an LP gas tank, which caught fire from the valve and spread to the kitchen. We work for your well-being and safety. If you need us call 9-1-1. Our firefighters are always ready and willing to help you,” Protección Civil, Prevención de Riesgos y Bomberos de Solidaridad reported in a brief note.

There were no injuries during the house fire, only extensive material damage.
