Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — UPDATED: A steak and seafood restaurant located along Fifth Avenue in Playa del Carmen was seized by agents of la Fiscalía General del Estada and la Guardia Nacional. Agents investigated the restaurant after allegations of it being a drug distribution center.
Authorities involved in the investigation of Karen’s Seafood Steak House & Pizza on 4th Street made their visit during the afternoon hours of Thursday.
The 4:00 p.m. inspection of the restaurant, which included numerous police agents and K-9 narcotic dogs, resulted in the discovery of drugs for which two people were arrested and the premises shut down.
