Playa del Carmen, Q. R. — Two men alleged responsible for the murder of two mototaxi drivers have been arrested. In a press release, the Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office reported the arrests of David S and Luis G “for their probable participation in the crime of aggravated homicide of two male victims.”
The agency says that both of the now-deceased men were motorcycle taxi drivers from Playa del Carmen.
A preliminary investigation indicate that “the accused tied up and beat the victims in a house in a neighborhood in this municipality; From there, they were taken to the vicinity of Colosio and Flor de Ciruelo avenues, where they were probably shot with firearms and where they were found dead,” the FGE explained.
A judge issued a search warrant that allowed police to investigate the property believed used to hold and kill the men. Evidence from that investigation lead to their arrests.
