Bacalar, Q. R. — A man alleged responsible for the murder of another in 2019 has been arrested and formally charged. On Tuesday, the State Attorney General’s Office reported that Ezequiel “R” was formally charged with the murder of a unnamed male from February 12, 2019 in the municipality of Bacalar.
According to their investigation, on February 12, 2019, the accused entered a home in the town of Limones and went to the room where the victim slept and allegedly shot him, causing his death.
The FGE says Ezequiel “R” was picked up on an outstanding arrest warrant. A Chetumal judge has ordered him to remain in preventative detention during his trial.
