According to the FGR, the offence happened on land located along Damero Avenue.

The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) said Wednesday that they obtained a formal indictment against Evelio “N” for crime against the General Law of National Assets.

According to the FGR (Fiscalía General de la República), a federal judge ordered proceedings against Evelio “N” for his probable participation in the crime of using property belonging to the nation without a concession or permit authorized by the competent authority.

“Due to the receipt of a breakdown of actions, sent by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), which revealed facts constituting a crime of federal jurisdiction, the FGR continued with the investigation and obtained the aforementioned judicial resolution,” they said in a statement.

The property is located on Damero Avenue on the island of Holbox and, according to the FGR, was irregularly occupied by a business without having the corresponding concession, permit or authorization.

The judge imposed the precautionary measure of monthly periodic presentation for the continuation of the process, they said. Evelio “N” is set to return to court next month.
