Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A person has died after falling from the top floor of a residential apartment building in Playa del Carmen. The fall was reported Saturday from a building on 125 Avenue and Constituyentes.
Police and medical personnel were on scene around 1:00 p.m. along with National Guard who cordoned off the area, restricting access.
Some local media have reported the now-deceased as a male worker who fell from the rooftop, while others have reported it to be a woman who jumped. Police have not verified either of these versions.
It is not known if the deceased is a man or woman or if they were a resident of the building. The circumstances around the death are also not known since to date, police have not provided public information regarding the fall.
