Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The driver of a truck that was apparently speeding ended up on its roof. It was around 6:00 p.m. Sunday when other motorists reported the highway accident south of Playa del Carmen.
The two men from inside the company van were not injured in the rollover, however, the vehicle sustained substantial damage. Witnesses to the accident told police the driver was “going too fast” when a wheel made contact with the central median, which caused the van to overturn.
Transit Police arrived at the scene to regulate the flow of Sunday evening traffic while they waited for a tow truck.
