Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — At least eight people were injured in a bus and private car collision outside Playa del Carmen Tuesday. Late night motorists made the call to emergency services after seeing the bus and car collide.
Police were sent to the scene of the 2:00 a.m. accident between a theme park staff bus and private vehicle. The staff bus was reportedly carrying 21 theme park employees when the car hit the bus.
The impact was so strong the engine from the car was found laying on the highway. The car itself was found several meters off the road in thick highway vegatation with the entire front smashed in.
Two people from inside the car and six from inside the bus were transferred to Playa del Carmen hospital.
