Culiacán, Sinaloa — Eight people have been arrested for possession and drug trafficking after authorities find 136 kilos of cocaine.
La Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) of Sinaloa reports the arrest of the eight who are charged with possession of cocaine for commercial purposes, possession of firearms for the exclusive use of the armed forces and operation with resources of illicit origin.
According to their investigation, elements of the State Police and National Guard received the report of firearm shots from a building in the La Campiña neighborhood in Culiacán.
After conducting an on-site inspection, they detained eight men and seized $110,933, 136.9 kilos, of cocaine, a 9mm firearm, a rifle-type long gun, four vehicles and a scale. The eight have been presented before a judge and found connected to the crimes for which they have been charged. They are being held in preventative detention.
