Due to demand ADO increases bus service from Cancun International to Hotel Zone

Cancun, Q.R. — ADO says they have increased their daily bus routes from the Cancun International Airport to the Cancun Hotel Zone. Since its launch in February, passenger numbers have tripled.

According to Elpidio Valencia Palomares, the Cancun Commercial Operations Manager of Mobility ADO, the company transferred around 1,000 travelers from the airport to the hotel zone in February when they first launched the service.

However, in March after a public announcement regarding the new service, their passenger numbers increased to nearly 2,500 and in April, to more than 3,000. Valecia says the shuttle service between the Cancun International Airport and Cancun Hotel Zone has seen a steady increase in demand.

He explained that travelers from Terminals 2, 3 and 4 of the airport can take the bus to Plaza Fiesta in the center of the Cancun Hotel Zone for 140 pesos.

Valencia says with the increase in demand, it has led the company to increase the number of daily departures from six to nine. The bus now departs every hour between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., taking airport passengers to the Cancun Hotel Zone.
