Mexico City, Mexico — A man of Mexican-American dual nationality has been returned to the U.S. to face charges. U.S. federal marshals met Diego “N” at the Mexico City International Airport Thursday for an escort back to American soil.
Diego “N” was wanted by the Federal District Court for the Western District of Missouri on child pornography charges.
According to information from the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), Diego “N”, a person of Mexican and American nationality, was extradited Thursday.
“Derived from an investigation carried out by the law enforcement authorities of the United States, it was revealed that between the months of June and July 2010, Diego “N” shared various files of child pornography by email,” the FGR reported.
The Government of Mexico granted the extradition of the requested person to the Government of the United States after Diego “N” was arrested in Mexico City in February 2019.
His delivery was made at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to U.S. agents.
