Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — One man was rushed to hospital with undisclosed injuries after a truck ran over him before it smashed into the wall of a house. Early Monday morning, police and ambulances were sent to a private home in the Nicte-Ha neighborhood of Playa del Carmen where they found the truck inside the house.
It was just before 1:30 a.m. when emergency services were notified of the accident. When police arrived, they found the driver of the three-ton truck had run over a man and hit at least one car before smashing through the wall of a home.
Nearby neighbors called in the accident. Paramedics transferred the unidentified man to hospital. It was not made known if he was a pedestrian or member of the house. An official cause for the driver losing control of the truck was not provided at the time.
