Costa Maya, Q.R. — One person was killed near the area of Costa Maya in the state’s south over the weekend in a two vehicle crash. The accident happened Friday night on the highway leading to the town of Coba.
Police arrived to find a quarter-ton truck and an SUV had collided head on. The driver of the quarter-ton truck was killed in the collision. Emergency services were called in to free the driver from behind the wheel of his small truck, however, by the time he was freed, he had died.
The identity of those involved in the accident were not provided. Police did not provide information as to how the crash happened.
