Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The driver of a compact car was reportedly killed instantly when his vehicle crashed head-on into a tree. The accident happened along the Playa del Carmen highway near Punta Venado.
Reports say that a man who was driving along the federal Playa del Carmen-Tulum section of highway lost control of his compact Matiz vehicle, which lead him to hit a tree. Paramedics from clinic 91, firefighters, Civil Protection and Motorized Rescuers arrived at the scene of the accident.
Nothing could be done for the driver. He was pronounced on scene.
