Paamul, Q.R. — An auto accident near the entrance of the seaside community of Paamul has claimed the life of its male driver.
The driver of the car died on scene after a tire apparently blew while he was behind the wheel traveling on the federal highway. The accident was recorded near the entrance of Paamul, a community inside the municipality of Solidaridad.
Reports say the sole occupant of the car was not wearing his seat belt. Upon explosion of the front right tire, he lost control of the car and crashed against the center ridge. From that impact, he was thrown across the front seats of the vehicle and projected through the passenger side window.
Police officers arrived on scene to cordon off the area. The man, who has not been identified, reportedly died instantly.
