Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man alleged responsible for a two vehicle accident in central Playa del Carmen has been arrested. The two car crunch happened around 3:00 a.m. Monday along 34th Avenue in the Gonzalo Guerrero neighborhood.
Early information claims the driver of the red Suzuki ran a red light, crashing into an oncoming taxi. The pair met at an intersection that left both vehicles immobile.
After arriving at the scene and talking with both drivers, Municipal Traffic officers are reported to have arrested the driver of the Suzuki for appearing intoxicated.
The taxi was left with the most damage between the two cars. Neither driver was reported seriously injured.
Both cars were towed to the Municipal pound.
