Huamelula, Oaxaca — Authorities were alerted to the discovery of a Cessna aircraft that appeared on Playa Grande in the municipality of San Pedro Huamelula in Oaxaca this week.
According to reports, residents of the area notified authorities of the discovery of the aircraft, adding that inside, were no traces of the crew or cargo. The first responders to the scene were elements of the State Investigations Agency who secured the area. Elements of the Secretariat of the Navy, the Mexican Army and the National Guard also arrived, given the assumption that the plane had been used for the commission of crime.
The small aircraft was pulled from the sea and consigned to the Federal Public Ministry to continue with their investigation.
