Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A guest staying in a centrally located Playa del Carmen hotel was found dead Sunday. The man was found deceased inside his room by a hotel employee around 2:30 p.m.
The unidentified male was staying at a hotel along 10th Avenue and 28th Street in the Xaman-Ha neighborhood. According to information from the hotel employee, the guest had not been heard from in two days. She entered the room after his assigned check out time, only to find him dead in the room.
Hotel management called emergency services who in turn, sent police. The death is being treated as a suicide. An autopsy will confirm his official cause of death.
