According to police, Yadriel “N” has been arrested in the June 22 murder of his girlfriend who was found dead near a home in SM 45. The body of the woman was found buried near a house on Bacalar Street and Kohunlich Avenue in Cancun.

“The location of the victim’s body, buried in a recent construction at the rear of his house, resulted from the search operation carried out by the Public Prosecutor’s Office,” they reported.

“The autopsy performed by the Forensic Medical Service revealed that the woman, a mother of two children, died as a result of asphyxiation by strangulation,” they added.

Police say Yadriel “N”, identified as the likely perpetrator, was arrested in the state of Chiapas where he had traveled by air from Cancun, making a stop in Mexico City.

“The subject was captured at a checkpoint in the municipality of Tapachula, and after the corresponding procedures, he was placed at the disposal of the Quintana Roo authorities.”
