Criminal leader handed over to U.S. federal agents in extradition

Mexico City, Mexico — Edgar “V” is identified as one of the leaders of a criminal organization, has been extradited to the U.S. On Sunday, Edgar “V” was met at the Mexico City International Airport by U.S. federal agents for his return to American soil.

According to the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) of Mexico, Edgar “V” was wanted by a Federal District Court of Columbia for charges of drugs, criminal association and possession of a firearm.

In their statement, the FGR reported that “Edgar “V” is identified as one of the leaders of a criminal organization which has trafficked large quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine from Mexico to the United States.

“Due to the above, the Government of Mexico granted the extradition of the requested person to the government of that country. Edgar “V” was subject to the extradition procedure within the Federal Social Rehabilitation Center number 15 “CPS-Chiapas” in Villa Comaltitlán, Chiapas, due to the fact that a criminal process was being carried out against him for the crime of aggravated kidnapping,” the FGR added in their statement.

His delivery was made at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to the U.S. agents designated for his final transfer.
