Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Elements of the Municipal Preventive Police have detain two people after they were found in possession of drugs. The man and women were taken into police custody from along the federal Playa del Carmen-Cancun highway.
Arrested are 23-year-old Maksim N and 51-year-old Tatyana N, both reportedly from the US. The pair were reported for aggressive behavior outside the Iberostar Playa Paraíso hotel. Police responding to the Emergency 911 report located the couple along the highway outside the hotel Thursday.
A search of their person revealed a variety of narcotics on both the man and woman, one of which included a bag of more than 50 psychotropic pills.
