Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man arrested for the 2019 murder of a woman in Playa del Carmen has been found guilty. The accused, Héctor M, awaits sentencing for the stabbing death of his then-girlfriend in May of 2019.
The Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo reports that prosecutor Lic. Christopher Cid Hurtado headed the trial that lead to a judge issuing a conviction for Héctor M for the crime of femicide.
The Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) says that Héctor M participated in events that occurred on May 13, 2019 in an apartment located in the municipality of Solidaridad where he stabbed his victim, resulting in her death.
The FGE says that his sentence will be announced in coming days.
Héctor M has been found guilty in the May 2019 murder of 23-year-old Kimberly N, who was stabbed to death inside her apartment by then-boyfriend, Héctor M., during an argument. Kimberly N was originally from Acapulco.
