Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Playa del Carmen mayor Lili Campos has given the natural gas installation company 24 hours to clear the roadways of debris after numerous ongoing complaints.
Motorists in Playa del Carmen have had to deal with more than just a shut lane due to the installation of the natural gas line that is being installed along the western portion of the federal highway.
After a tour with personnel from Gas Natural del Noroeste SA de CV, the head of the Secretariat for Municipal Territorial Planning ,Teresita Flota Alcocer, found unjustified closed or partially closed roads and lanes.
City personnel noted several sections that were closed without gas company personnel working on them. A request was made to reopen those areas since there are no workers or machinery to justify the closure.
Flota Alcocer reported that on the instructions of Mayor Lili Campos, a tour was carried out and motorists complaints of unjustly closed roadways, verified.
