Bacalar, Q.R. — The driver of a motorcycle remains in serious condition after colliding head-on with a combi. The accident happened Thursday morning on the state highway near the settlement of Caan Lumil in the municipality of Bacalar.
The unidentified motorcycle driver was transferred to hospital after slamming into the front of the combi while taking a sharp curve. The driver was on his way to the community of Maya Balam when the crash occurred.
Passing motorists stopped to help the injured man until emergency services arrived. Municipal police and an ambulance were at the scene of the accident. It is not clear exactly how the two vehicles ended up colliding on the double lane road.
