Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A young man was found dead by cleaning staff inside a Playa del Carmen condo Thursday morning. The hospitality staff who found the body called police after entering the condo and finding the 20-something-year-old dead.
The man, who has not been identified, is reported by local media to be an American tourist of around 25 years old. He was staying at the centrally located condo where he was found. Police have not ruled out an accidental overdose since narcotics were reportedly found inside the condo.
The building’s cleaning staff found the body around 9:00 a.m. Thursday. An official comment from authorities has not been given on the identification of the deceased male, or the possible cause of death.
