Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man accused of robbery was located by police with a replica gun and more than 130,000 in cash. On Wednesday, the SSP of Solidaridad reported on the arrest of Diego “N”.
Diego “N” was taken into custody Tuesday after police received a report of a robbery in progress. Police “moved to 24th Street with 85 Diagonal Avenue where, upon arrival, they met with workers from a store who pointed out a subject who was walking away from the place as the one who entered the establishment moments before and threatened them with what looked like a firearm to steal the money from the sale of the day,” the SSP of Solidaridad reported.
Police caught up with a man who identified himself as 28-year-old Diego “N” from Chiapas, who had among his belongings, a replica of a firearm and 132,330 peso in cash.
He was positively identified by the store employees and arrested for the armed robbery.
