Cancun International to implement electronic visa for Brazilian tourists

Cancun, Q.R. — The Cancun International Airport will implement the electronic visa system for visitors from Brazil starting May. In a statement Saturday, Quintana Roo Governor said the electric format will allow Brazil travelers to obtain a Mexican visa more easily.

“In the first days of May, the electronic format will come into effect so that citizens of Brazil can obtain the Mexican visa more easily,” Governor Lezama reported in a message through social networks.

After several months of talks between Governor Lezama and the Foreign Ministry, she said the electronic format will be implemented.

“After talks regarding the importance of facilitating the visa process for Brazilian citizens, the electronic format will finally be put into effect,” she said.

The Governor highlighted that this decision of the Government of Mexico will facilitate the arrival of more tourists to Quintana Roo from Brazil to enjoy the natural, cultural and historical beauties of the state’s destinations.

Lezama said she welcomes Brazilian citizens to be part of the new era of tourism in Quintana Roo.
