Cancun, Q.R. — The Cancun International Airport reported the start of a busy weekend with 559 flights connecting the city of Cancun to 67 others. According to the Southeast Airport Group (Asur), on Friday, travelers arrived from the Netherlands, England, Colombia, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Cuba, Turkey, Sweden, Germany, Guatemala, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Nicaragua, Panama, France, Poland and the United States.
Of those operation figures, 202 were international arrivals and 78 national arrivals. During the day, 201 flights also took off from Cancun runways.
ASUR says they were bound for places such as Amsterdam, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Birmingham, Bogotá, Boston, Brasilia, Brussels, Buffalo, Calgary, Camagüey, Caracas, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Edmonton, Istanbul, Stockholm, Philadelphia, Flores, Frankfurt, Guatemala, Hartford, Houston, Indianapolis, Havana, Lansing, and Las Vegas.
Operating airlines in and out of Cancun International include Aeromar, Aeroméxico, Air France, Air Canada, Air Portugal, Air Transat, Alaska, American, Avianca, British, Cóndor, Conviasa, Copa, Delta, Eurowings, Frontier, Gol, IAero Airways, Jet Air, Jet Blue, Iberojet, KLM, Latam, Lot Polish, Magni, Sky, Spirit, Southwest, Sun Country, Sunwing, Swoop, TAG, TUI, Turkish, United, Viva Aerobús, Viva Air, Volaris, West Jet and Wingo.
On Saturday, ASUR reported 641 flights through 39 airlines at Cancun International. The agency reported that 245 of the 322 arrival flights were from international destinations.
