Cancun International reports more than 440 flights over weekend

Cancun, Q.R. — Airport managing company Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) reports more than 440 flights in and out of Cancun International over the weekend. ASUR says that over the course of the two days, they had 444 operations covering destinations in the United States, Caribbean and South America.

Figures show 223 flights on Saturday of which 108 were arrivals, 61 of them national and 47 international. Of their 115 departures, 58 were domestic and 57 were abroad. The international destinations with flights scheduled for August 29 included Atlanta, Baltimore, Bogotá, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Havana, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Montreal, New York , Saint Louis, Salt Lake, San Francisco and Toronto.

One flight, a flight to Bogotá, was a humanitarian flight. The international airlines with scheduled flights to and from Cancun were Air Canada, Air Transat, American, Avianca, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, Sun Country, United and West Jet.

On Sunday, ASUR reported 221 scheduled operations with 107 arrivals, 64 of them from Mexican destinations and 43 from other nations. They also reported 114 departures, of which 68 were to points within the country and 46 to others.

The international airlines with flights scheduled for August 30 were American, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, Sun Country, United, with flights to Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, Salt Lake and San Francisco.
