California authorities receive extradited man wanted for burglary, battery and homicide

Mexico City, Mexico — A Mexican national wanted in the state of California has been extradited from Mexico. On Tuesday, Federico “C” was handed over to waiting U.S. federal agents at the Mexico City International Airport.

Federico “C” was transferred back to the U.S. where he will face charges of burglary, battery and homicide for events that occurred in Tulcare Country, California.

According to a statement from the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), Federico “C”, a person of Mexican nationality, was wanted by the Superior Court of the State of California of Tulare County, for the crimes of burglary, battery and homicide after robbing a home and shooting a man inside who subsequently died from his injuries.

“In February 2022, Federico “C” entered the home of a man and shot him twice, causing wounds to his leg and abdomen which caused his death,” they reported.

The Government of Mexico granted the extradition of Federico “C” to the Government of the United States after he was located and detained in the city of Colima, in the state of Colima.
