Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three bodies found inside an abandoned building in Playa del Carmen Monday have been partially identified. According to early information, the three bodies correspond to two men and one woman.
The two men are reported to be of Mexican nationality while the woman is reported to be Italian.
On Monday morning, three dead bodies were found in an abandoned house in the Nueva Creación neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. The discovery was reported to police around 7:30 a.m. in a building at the intersection of 28 de Julio Avenue and Othón P. Blanco Street.
According to available information, the body of the woman was found sitting in a chair while the bodies of the men were located on the floor in different areas. Shell casings were reportedly collected from the scene.
The area was secured while police collected evidence. Local authorities have not commented publicly on the murders.
