Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A Playa del Carmen motorcycle driver was killed Saturday after being hit by a dump truck. The accident happened at 12:50 p.m. along 115 and Constituyentes Avenue when, according to witnesses, the driver of the bike stopped to give way to an oncoming ambulance.
The oncoming dump truck did not stop in time and ended up running over the driver of the motorcycle. The driver of the truck was arrested. The identity of the now-deceased has not been provided.
