Bacalar, Q.R. — The decomposing body of a man was found along a Bacalar highway Wednesday. The body was seen by area motorists in front of an abandoned hotel. Highway drivers reported the sighting to authorities who arrived to confirm reports.
Police found the body of a deceased adult male laying in front of an abanoned hotel Wednesday afternoon. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition and was located in a weedy green area.
Elements of the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC) were at the scene to set up a security cordon while they waited for the representatives of the State Attorney General’s Office.
It is not known how long the body had been there or a cause of death.
