Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A deceased man found late last week inside a Villas del Sol home was strangled to death. On Sunday, authorities reported on the death of the man which has since been reclassified as murder.
On September 28, the body of the man was found by police after neighbor reports of a foul odor. When police arrived at the two-story home, they found the body of an adult male decomposing inside.
An autopsy has revealed the man, who has not been publicly identified, died by strangulation and not natural causes as first suspected. Police continue to investigate.
